Enedis is a French public service company who manage the electricity distribution network. It develops, operates, modernizes the electrical network, and manages associated datas.
Enedis performs connections, troubleshooting, meter readings, and all technical interventions independently of energy suppliers for electricity sales and contract management.
Enedis required digital tools and business applications that were tailored to its needs as part of its activities.
To meet these requirements, we developed two multi-platform and multi-stakeholder applications, based on mapping but with different application domains:
• Track anomaly and control electrical installations to meet standards.
• Track and maintain power lines on roads.
Enedis officers and external service providers can send feedback and controls directly from the field using these applications. Tracked datas can then be processed and analysed into the backoffice (mapping worksites, filtered and exportable datas , specifics statistics, and many more)
DSI Interfacing
Enedis' IT department has strict guidelines, particularly regarding security. We have integrated their internal Single Sign-On system for user authentication. Additionally, we conducted code audits.
Since these applications should not be accessible to the public and Enedis refused to comply with the restrictions imposed by Apple and Google stores, we deployed "Progressive Web Apps".
Why Progressive Web App ?
PWAs enable the installation of applications on a smartphone without having to go through app stores.
They use web technologies and appear as native mobile applications on user's smartphones, integrating browser and device functionalities (immersive experience, notifications, offline use thanks to caching, etc.) and are therefore perfectly suited to on-site applications.
The implementation of Géovoirie has had a real impact on our worksites monitoring. Thanks to the data entry directly by the technical teams from their smartphones, everything is centralized and reported on the Back Office accessible from the office. The monitoring of interventions is much better now, and we feel that we have moved to another level in project management.
